After an intense month of electoral campaign, FrFor the seven candidates for the office of mayor of the city of Avellno it is time for silence.
Polls open from 1am5.00 today, Saturday 8 June and until 11.00 pm and tomorrow, Sunday 9 June from 7.00 to 23.00.
There are 45,815 people entitled to vote in the capital of Irpinia who will be able to go to the polls to elect the Mayor and the City Council, for a total of 32 seats net of around 400 candidates for the office of City Councillor.
Avellino’s competition is particularly felt after the legal events which last April 18 led to the arrest, under house arrest, of former mayor Gianluca Festa.
His deputy, Laura, is on the field Nargiinvestigated for criminal association, with a civic project typical of the outgoing administration and supported by three liseas, then the broad field of the center-left represented by Antonio Gengaro and supported by four lists.
Rai journalist Rino is also running for a position as mayor Genoese with the “Civic Pact for Avellino” made up of five lists, then there is Fratelli d’Italia who nominated Modestino Iandoli; the Union of the Center with Gennaro Romei, Popular Union with Aldo D’Andrea and finally the “Progetto Avellino Futura” team led by Vittorio Boccieri.
