Double bad defeat for the BBC in Macerata. Oberto’s team played two carbon copy games: excellent start and collapse in the final. Pyrotechnic challenge yesterday afternoon. Freddy Noguera’s single breaks the deadlock again in favor of BBC Grosseto, but Macerata scores the decisive push in the bottom of the fifth on a really not very incisive Soto, thanks to the two-point valid of Jesus Carrera (3 of 5 at bat) and the RBI of Morresi, Dudley Leonora and Fabrizio that close the inning on 12-7. Gabriele Quattrini’s final entry from the sixth inning closes the taps on the red and whites’ attack and Macerata can celebrate the victory in game 2 for 12-7. In the Friday game at the Bbc New Energy Grosseto, a sparkling start is not enough to take home the victory (7-3 the final score for Macerata). The red and whites start well: Tomsjansen and Herrera hit Correa’s pitches and are pushed home by Barcelan’s great double, who reaches third on Martini’s fourth consecutive hit and scores on a ball missed by the catcher: 3-0. The starter Gomez closes the first home attack unscathed, but in the 2nd he suffers the tie. Profar and Di Turi hit a double and a single respectively, Luciani’s single brings home the 3-1, while the second comes on an error. Garcia’s hit ties the scores. The Marche team takes the lead at the 3rd: base to Bernadina and winning single by Carrera. Macerata puts a couple of men on base at the 4th and Oberto calls Noguera, who suffers a double by Morresi that brings home Luciani. At the 6th it is the double by Bernardina that sets the final 7-3.
