In the provincial territory of Modena – with particular regard to the mountain area municipalities of Pavullo, Zocca, Prignano, Polinago, Serramazzoni, Marano – the bad weather is putting the network of streams and rivers to the test. After the flooding in the Apennines, the flood is passing through the plains and in particular it is the Secchia river that has reached the most worrying levels, flooding the floodplain areas in the Campogalliano countryside.
the Fire Brigade Command was busy with all the units of permanent personnel in service, as well as three voluntary detachments, in carrying out interventions mainly concerning rescues to people, drainage, landslides and landslides which caused major problems for the road system.
At 7 am the roads in the Secchia area near the Campogalliano expansion tanks were also closed: via Albone (at the intersection with strada XXII Aprile, via Madonna di Sotto and via Bosco/Via Carobbie).
At 08.30 today there have been around 60 interventions carried out since the start of the event, 12 waiting to be assigned and 5 interventions in progress, including some evacuations of people from the floodplain areas of Campogalliano. Overall, five people were rescued from cars stuck in the car and caught in the rain, as well as three families in flooded homes. The intervention took place in Via Madonna, a critical point at every flood of the river.
From 00.30 the CCS was opened at the headquarters of the Regional Civil Protection Agency in Marzaglia in which official staff of the Command are participating.
