Present at the meeting with the media were Piero Romano, artistic director of the ICO Magna Grecia and of the same event, Angelica Lussoso, councilor for culture of the Municipality of Taranto. Among the other participants, representing host venues and sponsors, Gianluca Piotti (Yachting Club) and Alessandro Ladiana (Teleperformance).

Isola di San Pietro, Yachting Club and Mon Reve, continuing with the Oasi dei Battendieri and the Molo Sant’Eligio, all suggestive locations for the long-awaited Magna Grecia Festival 2024. Also this year concerts and events starting at 8.15pm (the only exception, the concert by Enzo Gragnaniello, at 8.00pm), to dedicate a dedication to our sunset with music and the Orchestra of Magna Grecia. Six events to offer the public and tourists moments of high cultural profile, featuring some of the most well-known and appreciated sites and villages in our province.

The Magna Grecia Festival is an event that has become one of the most authoritative brands in our territory over the years, thanks to teamwork, the Municipality of Taranto and the mayor Rinaldo Melucci; to the Navy, to the Team Admiral, Vincenzo Montanaro; to the owners and directors of the beaches who will also on this occasion offer hospitality to the entire program, once again demonstrating maximum closeness to cultural projects of great interest.

“The Magna Grecia Festival – says Angelica Lussoso, Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Taranto – is much more than a simple musical event; it is an emotional journey through different genres that blend together thanks to the splendid interpretations of great artists accompanied by the Orchestra della Magna Grecia. This event, enthusiastically supported by Mayor Rinaldo Melucci, allows us to enhance our landscape and promote culture, involving talented musicians and creating an unforgettable experience for everyone. This summer festival, which will also touch some of the most iconic places on the Taranto coast, represents an unmissable opportunity for citizens and the many tourists who are crowding our city in this period”.

As with previous events, this year too the artistic director, Maestro Piero Romano, expects great public participation. «The Magna Grecia Festival, now in its twenty-first season, represents a historic appointment with the city – says Romano – which over the years has become an element of valorisation of our territory: it is no coincidence that they are concerts at sunset, sought-after and identified places to tell through the music suggestive views of which our city is rich. Thanks to the project of the Orchestra della Magna Grecia, shared with the Municipality of Taranto, we are able to touch coasts and shores, important for their naturalistic specificity”.

«This is the case of Yachting, of Mon Reve – continues the artistic director of the Magna Grecia Festival – shores of great charm; of the appointment on the Island of San Pietro, an event possible thanks to the hospitality of the Navy, which last year opened to the public for the first time by hosting a concert of the MAP Festival; the other musical events: at Molo Sant’Eligio, in the heart of the Old City island, and in the Oasi dei Battendieri, to enjoy another moment of extraordinary scenic beauty”.

The Magna Grecia Festival, with the artistic direction of Piero Romano, is organized by the Magna Grecia Orchestra in collaboration with the Municipality of Taranto, with the patronage of the Puglia Region, also realized thanks to the support of Banca BCC di San Marzano di San Giuseppe, Teleperformance, Varvaglione Vini, Ninfole Caffè, Development Program, Baux Cucine, Five Motors.
