Airport Handling is confirmed in Fiumicino despite the legal disputes

The company, controlled by dnata, obtains a 7-year license for ground handling services at Rome Fiumicino airport.

Alberto Morosi, CEO of Airport Handling, declared: “TheService excellenceL’innovation and the safety have always been priorities in our operations in Milan. We look forward to bringing these high standards to Rome Fiumicino. Unfortunately, the prolonged delay impacts not only the service providers, but also the passengers and on airline companies. Despite these setbacks, we are ready to start operations as soon as possible. We have already invested over 20 million euros in equipment, including advanced electric vehiclesand we will hire qualified local employees.” Morosi added: “We remain optimistic as we await the court’s decision, confident in the accuracy of the airport authority’s actions.”

Airport Handling is an aviation service provider in Italy, trusted partner of over 60 airline companieshandling over 22 million passengers and 82,000 flights per year at Milan Malpensa (MXP) and Linate (LIN). The main shareholder of Airport Handling, dnata, operates in over 120 airports globally, also providing catering and cargo services. In 2023-24, dnata operated 778,000 flights, handled 2.9 million tonnes of cargo and transported 123 million meals, generating revenue of $2.4 billion.
