Extrasenso, dinner and special music for the cathedral

CASALMAGGIORE – Last night the city was transformed into a multi-sensory stage thanks to the ExtraSenso event, staged by FilRouge in the suggestive Piazza Monsignor Mariniat the foot of the Duomo Abbaziale di S. Stefano Protomartire. This charity event offered participants an experience that went beyond the traditional boundaries of the animated dinner, intertwining music, lights and cuisine in a unique sensory journey. ExtraSenso was conceived not only as an artistic experience, but also as an important fundraising initiative for the renovation of the dome and lantern of the Duomo di S. Stefano.

After thanking the sponsors, the presenter-pianist Giulia Vazzoler inaugurated the event (which had La Provincia as media partner). The first to bring him greetings was the mayor Filippo Bongiovannifollowed by Giandomenico Auricchioextraordinary commissioner of the Chamber of Commerce and president of the national UnionCamere, and from Sonia Cantarellipresident of ApiIndustria Confimi, who thanked Don Claudio Rubagotti «for the opportunity to be in this postcard, friends and donors, doctors from the Maggiore and Oglio Po hospitals, the Pro Loco and the Municipality.

ExtraSenso was divided into five acts, each characterized by artistic performances and gourmet dishes prepared by Maurizio Ceresini. The first act, “Thin Whispers”, saw Nicholas Segatta on the cello and Attilia Kiyoko Cernitori on the flute create a musical dialogue, accompanying an appetizer of Piedmontese fassona carpaccio. In the second act, Memorie Sonore, the 13-piece Piccola Orchestra Lumière combined classical and cinematographic music with a course of basil and pistachio crescents from Bronte.

The third act, Sweet Pop, brought energy and modernity with pop notes performed by Francesco Parrino, accompanied by a veal tournedos. The fourth act, Vibrarmonia, offered a futuristic show with the Laser Harp, creating a magical atmosphere that preceded the passion fruit sorbet. Finally, the fifth act, E Pluribus Unum, concluded the evening with a dynamic performance by the orchestra that intertwined classical melodies, swing and modern rhythms.
