“Where you didn’t take me” is a lucid and emotional novel, in which the author investigates the story of her parents and her own story, starting from a tragic news case, with incisive and engaging writing.

The Caffè Lettario “Mario La Cava” Readers’ Award went to Dario Ferrari con Recess is over (And/O), a work with different stratifications, from the bildungsroman to the autobiographical one, to tell of unfinished generations and the years of lead.

The ceremony held in Piazza Ruffo, in Bovalino, conducted by Maria Teresa D’Agostino, opened with greetings from the mayor Vincenzo Maesano, the three authors in the final spoke with the president of the Caffè Letterario Mimmo Calabria and the journalists Mariateresa Ripolo and Jacopo Giuca, the readings were curated by the actress Giulia Palmisano, the writer Rossella Scherl and the cultural animator Maria Antonella Gozzi. The Readers’ Award was announced by Enzo Dicembre, who coordinated the group. Luigi Franco, editorial director of Rubbettino, spoke for the tribute to Rocco Carbone, an author recently republished by the Soveria Mannelli publishing house. The journalist and writer Tommaso Labate spoke in connection. At the end of the evening, Mayor Maesano opened the envelope with the title of the winning work and, flanked by the councilors Pasquale Blefari and Maddalena Dattilo and the president of the city council Filippo Musitano, presented the prizes created by Maestro Rosario La Seta, by goldsmith Aldo Ferraro and the ceramist Enrica Nigrelli.
