Faenza, the “Girl-UP Bootcamp: future-proof digital culture” laboratory begins

Monday 24 June, in the classrooms of Faventia Salesstarted “Girl-UP Bootcamp: future-proof digital culture”, the residential laboratory dedicated to the development of practical skills in the STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) for female students attending secondary schools in the territory of the Union of Romagna Faentina.

The laboratory will continue until Friday 28 June and is organized by the Union as part of the “Digital Urban Laboratories” project which – through an organic set of activities developed with the scientific-methodological collaboration of Alma Mater Studiorum-University of Bologna – aims to encourage the digital transition of the territory with special attention for young people with initiatives that will take place until the end of 2026.

During the five days of the Bootcamp the participants will be involved in practical activities inspired by the methodology learning by doing. The course will also include training sessions design thinkingworkshops and activities designed to stimulate critical thinking and digital skills, and will conclude with the development of an application.

The goal of the “Girl-UP Bootcamp” is to prepare young students for the challenges of the future, providing them with essential tools and knowledge to face an ever-changing world. Participants will work closely with IT and design experts, developing technical and creative skills.

“Girl-UP Bootcamp” is an activity of the DIGITAL URBAN LABORATORIES, a project financed by the ERDF Operational Program 2021-2027 of the Emilia-Romagna Region as part of the Urban Transformative Agenda for Sustainable Development (ATUSS) of the Romagna Faentina, approved by Emilia-Romagna Region with Council Resolutions n. 648 of 04/26/2023 and n. 825 of 05/22/2023.
