POZZUOLI – Three unusable schools and the resumption of the school year which will involve transfers and double shifts for the pupils of the Montenuovo, Artiaco and Giacinto Diano schools in Pozzuoli. This was announced by the Councilor for Public Education Vittorio Festa at the end of a technical summit held on Thursday morning at the municipal offices. «The kids from Montenuovo will go to the main headquarters, which is Pergolesi I, and to Vittorio Emanuele in Arco Felice, while gthe students from Artiaco will instead go to Monterusciello, as will half of those from Diano”. The major critical issues, according to what the councilor explained, concern the Artiaco and Montenuovo institutes, while for Diano the transfers will concern half of the school population
THE INTERVENTIONS – «The ridge behind the Montenuovo complex must be secured – added Festa – while for the Artiaco school there are two options: total reconstruction or seismic adaptation costing 3 million euros. Finally, for Diano, which will have 12 anti-seismic classes in September, double shifts are planned or the transfer of pupils from the remaining 12 classes to the modules that we will receive from the Civil Protection or to our school facilities in Monterusciello”.
