While I read the disorganized statement of the other mayoral candidate, full of gratuitous insults (I quote from memory “frontal respect” “picturesque character” referring to a candidate who has always been on the side of the people and the least… and I don’t continue out of politeness, I don’t want to sink to the same level) and of falsehoods and crude insinuations regarding the coalition that supports me, I think of the damage that past left-wing administrations have caused to this community and I tell myself that it was worth it to get this far.
The citizens of Manfredonia deserve an alternative.
The words used on the other side denote, yes, nervousness and a certain departure from reality.
Is it true or not that the dissolution due to the mafia affected a centre-left municipal administration governed by the political parties and figures who today support it as if nothing had happened?
Is it true or not that the waste and mismanagement of over twenty years by the same political party have put the Municipality’s accounts in danger, coming close to bankruptcy?
As regards the electoral programme, then, I invite the other party to do better documentation and not to mislead the citizens.
On my social media channels there are videos and posts in which I illustrate our vision of the City and concretely outline a possible and real future, based on trust and participation.
It will be my responsibility to send the other mayoral candidate all the links necessary for extensive and exhaustive documentation on our program.
Dear opponent (political of course), we are not all like you who venture into a dreamlike vision of the city’s future, but I realize that you have not fully understood the real state Manfredonia is in, a city with enormous potential, never put in a position to truly express it.
Since when does telling the truth mean denigrating?
Since when is the claim to be superior and with the truth in your pocket synonymous with correctness?
The lines of a popular and much loved piece of music by Caterina Caselli come to mind… “the truth hurts you, I know”.
