“On the beach prices increase by only 3%”

Cesena, 14 June 2024 – The classic combination umbrella and two sunbeds, on the beach this summer there will be no particular price increases and will cost substantially the same as last year. THE 170 seaside resorts from the four locations from the province of Forlì-Cesenadespite experiencing one of the most difficult moments in their history, due to the uncertainties linked to the sword of Damocles of Bolkestein directive of the European Union which plans to announce concessions on state-owned maritime property at the end of this year, have decided to maintain popular rates, especially when compared with those of the beaches of other Italian tourist resorts. The adjustments to the price list, the operators assure, are generally very limited despite the increase in costs.

Cesenatico with his seven kilometers of coastline it is the largest beach in the province of Forlì-Cesena. Here are 126 bathing establishments who join the beach establishments cooperative of which he is president Simone Battistoni: “Even in our sector there is a notable increase in costs and a significant increase in the price of raw materials. Despite this, we have decided not to apply higher tariffs, limiting ourselves to average adjustments of 3 percent”. In Cesenatico, on average, an umbrella with two sunbeds costs from 18 to 24 euros for one day, for a week you spend from 120 to 140 euros, for two weeks from 200 to 240, while for a month the cost varies from 350 to 380 euros.

These are full season rates, for an umbrella halfway on the beach, not in the very first row but not in the last. For example, in June you pay less, as in September.

Also to Gatteo a Marewhere there are 30 bathing establishments, the prices are low, as he is keen to underline Massimo Bondihistoric seaside operator and president of Gatteo Mare Summer Village: “The increase in beach fees is modest and here too it averages around 3 percent, with many colleagues applying prices at last year’s levels. An umbrella with two sunbeds in full season costs on average 20 euros for a day, 120 euros for a week, 220 for two weeks and around 420 euros for a month; in the low season you obviously pay a little less.”

In San Mauro Mare the increases in line with previous years and in any case very limited, as he explains Alessandro Delvecchio of society Great Beaches to which five gods adhere ten San Maurese factories: “The daily ticket with us costs 22 euros, for a week you spend 123, for two weeks 222 euros and for the month the rate is 356 euros; we maintain our line and provide many services including hot showers that are always free.”
