Festival of the Lands of Water: the literary festival “I’ll Bring You a Book” confirmed

After the success of previous years, this year too the Festival delle
Terre d’Acqua is enriched thanks to “Ti Porto un Libro”, the literary festival on the banks of the
sea.

With the literary events that will be held on 25, 26 and 27 June, the
Foundation wants to promote discussion and reflection on ethical issues and adults
current issues, with the aim of contributing to social development and – albeit
indirectly – economic of the community.

Furthermore, something new has been added this year: the literary review “I’ll Bring You a Book”
also includes opening meetings of the evenings, meetings designed for children and teenagers,
to stimulate reflection and discussion with others.

«Literature is an art form that reflects the history, culture and identity of a community.
Through the formula of the literary review, local authors and works can be highlighted
set in the territory and themes linked to its history and traditions, or again, yes
they can address issues that do not necessarily have to do with the territory, but which are
instead pertaining to the historical moment we are experiencing” declared the president of the
Re Manfredi Foundation, Michele De Meo.

Then he adds «the ultimate aim is certainly to promote and enhance local culture and authors, as well as stimulating discussion and debate, in an era in which technological and digital innovation, paradoxically, seems unable to guarantee the right to everyone to express their opinions and to deal civilly with the opinions of others.

Furthermore, this literary review also represents a moment of aggregation which translates into the creation of a sense of belonging and pride among the public towards their city and the territory” he then concluded.

Precisely to give a tangible sign of what has been declared, this year the
participants to turn off their phones, or rather, any electronic device,
in accordance with everyone’s needs, precisely to dedicate all your attention to listening
of the topics covered and to take an active part in the debate.

There is very little left until the event, so the guests will also be announced soon.
