PALERMO – SICILBANCAcooperative credit bank of Central Fund Groupinaugurated its first branch in Palermo, dedicated to the eclectic artist from Palermo “Gino Morici”. With this opening, the BCC reaches the goal of 22 branches operating in Sicily, supported by 102 employees and a social base of 4.000 soci.
The inauguration ceremony was held yesterday in the new offices located in viale Lazio number 9. The ribbon cutting saw the participation of the President of SICILBANCA Joseph Of Strongof the Director Michael Augello and the CEO of the Cassa Centrale Group Sandro Bolognesi.
“The Palermo community – the note reads – will now have cutting-edge financial products available from a bank deeply rooted in the territory that, in line with the values of the Credito Cooperativo, places people and community service at the center of its activities. The “Gino Morici” branch extends over a surface area of 215 m² on a single level, with seven windows. The spaces, designed to be contemporary and functional, reflect the bank’s commitment to cultural marketing, enhancing art and literature”.
Starting from Monday, the Palermo branch of BCC Sicilbanca, managed by the person in charge Alessandro Cosentinowill already be operational, with a open day dedicated to the 600 members from Palermo and potential customers.

Culture
Inside the branch is hosted the Sgadari collection, an exclusive selection of drawings in anastatic copies signed by Gino Morici. Outside, a corner called “Art Space“, expression of the concept of art in&out. This area, always open, offers a relaxing place for reading, thanks to a mailbox book sharing positioned at the entrance of the bank. A latest-generation LED screen broadcasts works of art and sequences daily, telling the beauty of the Island and its artists, thus creating a small open-air museum accessible to all. In addition, the sculpture “Hidalgo con lilium”, a tribute to Santa Rosalia, will soon be completed and will be positioned to the side of the bank entrance.
Environment
The new headquarters is a clear model of environmental sustainability and energy saving. Through the BCC Energia Consortium, the structure facilitates the energy transition, with the aim of not only reducing energy costs, but also consuming less and increasing the share of energy from renewable sources. This is 100% green energy.
Salute
