“There are just a few days left until the presentation of the 6th Social Reportwith the aim of highlighting, with data in hand, the increasingly central role of the structures AIOP on the regional territory, both in health and economic terms.
The first novelty of this edition is the differentiated reading of the data for Large Area,highlighting characteristics and peculiarities based on three identified macro areas: Northern Emilia(for the provinces of Piacenza, Parma, Reggio Emilia and Modena), Emilia Centre (for the provinces of Bologna and Ferrara) e Romagna (for all other provinces).
AIOP is ready to be the protagonist of the coming changes and to strengthen its relationship with Public Health, being the accredited private component an indispensable part for the stability of the national and regional health system, as already demonstrated in the years of the pandemic.
These are the words of the president AIOP ERLawyer Cesare Salvi:
“The AIOP Regional Social Report, now in its sixth edition, testifies to the strong health, social and economic impact of the activity carried out in favor of the citizens of Emilia-Romagna first and foremost and of strong attractiveness of our structures towards patients coming from other regions.
Accredited health facilities are an integral part of the Regional Health Service and fully participate in satisfying the health needs of the population, putting the patient’s well-being first. Wellbeing which means offering quality and efficiency of services, welcoming and listening to patients’ needs, within the context of a relationship of trust and collaboration with the public component of the Regional Health System. This virtuous path constitutes, as can be seen from the data presented in the Social Report, a very significant economic chain, from the number of staff employed to that of suppliers, often local, to whom our structures turn; path that translates into wide-ranging social well-being”.
This is the comment of the Cav. Work Averardo Ortavice president of AIOP-ER:
“The AIOP structures of the metropolitan area of Bologna have always embraced social reporting and business ethics with conviction and for 12 consecutive years have published a detailed and comparable integrated social balance sheet. We are convinced that health cannot be treated as just any good or service. We are not available to participate in tenders at the lowest price and we want to defend the dignity of our professionals and our organizations also through a transparent and participatory reporting process that involves all citizens”.
Finally here is the comment of the doctor. Lorenzo Venturini councilor of the Ravenna territorial area:
“The Social Report tells of a growth path, characterized by the objective of improving the quality of people’s lives, acting with responsibility from both a social and health point of view. The ability to adapt and react was a fundamental point for the Romagna structures in 2023, also following the tragic flood events that involved some hospitals, together with a healthcare and administrative team increasingly involved in the company strategy we were able to transform the obstacles in an opportunity for growth and development.We are ready to face the new challenges which will be both scientific, social and economic, with determination: to generate greater benefits for the entire healthcare system.”
AIOP ER’S NUMBERS
Here are the numbers that make AIOP an engine for economic growth and in general for the related industries capable of generating:
- 922 million is the value of production
- 62 million they were allocated by the structures for investments (new technologies, structures, etc.) to benefit care and quality.
- 583 million is the total added value generated by the AIOP ER structures (+6% compared to the previous year)
