The second edition of the Old Rugby Messina International Tournamentan event that took place from 7 to 9 June Stadium “Arturo Sciavicco” Of Messinain the full spirit and tradition of rugby.
The Tournament was based on one of the essential values of rugbyteamwork, and was organized byOld Rugby Messina 1980 ASD and by the entire Messina rugby community, with the support of the Department of Sportto the Tourism and to Show from the Sicilian regionof theMunicipal Administration from the City Subway Of Messina and many local entrepreneurs.
They participated in the Tournament the most prestigious teams in the Sicily (MessinaCatania, Enna, Palermo and Syracuse), of Calabria (Cosenza), del Wales (Brecon RFC) and theEngland (Topsham Rugby Old Boys). “For obvious reasons the players fromUkraineas scheduled, – say the President Danilo Grillo and the Vice President Avv. Vincenzo Ciraolo – but we continue to be twinned with them. We want to specify that the event focuses on important values, which are the same as those of this wonderful sport, the rugby: team play, respect for roles and the opponent,friendshipthe loyalty, sacrifice, conviviality, union. These are values fully shared between cultures different, despite the history and the different traditions of our territories”.
The event included visits to city, convivial meetings And musical entertainmentbecoming representative in terms of development and tourism promotion of the territory Messina. Guests visited the Old Townthe CathedralThe Fort San SalvatoreThe Regional Museumand they concluded by immersing themselves in the waters Of Cape Peloro. Even the evenings, spent together, were important moments of conviviality: good local food and live music, in full team spirit. The Tournament was actually inaugurated, in the early afternoon of Saturday 8 June, by the member of Director Alessandro Sparacino and ended with the classic third time.

On Saturday 8 June a dutiful tribute was paid by Old Rugby Messina 1980 ASD and the entire Messina rugby community to the representatives of the Administrations Regional and town, and to all Presidents of the teams, with the delivery of celebratory shirts and of souvenir plaques.
