The sports club Lama Bridge celebrates its young talents for the first trophy Puglia Cup in the under 15 category of its history. The very young footballers came back to beat their peers from Esperia Monopoli 2-1 in the final played at the “Dell’amico” stadium in Capurso on Sunday 16 June. The long journey that culminated in the victory of the Cup began with first place in the first phase, followed by second place behind Puglia champions Barletta in the second phase. Having obtained qualification for the Puglia Cup, the under 15 team of the Scaringi management brothers first passed a mini-group with San Severo and Wonderful Bari, then won against Bitritto in the quarter-finals and finally reached the semi-final against Lecce Soccer Academy on penalties . The coveted trophy valid for the regional category title was awarded during the awards ceremony by the Deputy Vice President of the LND Puglia Otello Sariconi and by the top management of the CRA Puglia Domenico Celi. All following a mutual ‘pasillo de honour’ as evidence of the great fair play put in place by the two opponents. “We have been following these boys born in 2009 since they were children, they grew up in our nursery. We are very happy with this result, we don’t know if we are the first in the city for this category but it certainly gives credit to our journey.
