The thrilling took place on Sunday 16 July third edition of the Astarco Trophy 2023. The event, organized by the Asti company ASD Astarco, was held on the renovated field of Variglie, which was made shiny thanks to various interventions carried out by the members themselves under the supervision of the president Stefano Vassarotti.

More than 100 archers from not only Piedmont, but also Lombardy and Liguria took part in the competition, who competed for the points to qualify for the Italian Targa Championships, which will take place from 24 to 27 August in Seravezza (LU).

Among the archers who took turns on the shooting line, the public had the opportunity to watch the performances of national athletes such as Marco Galiazzo, Francesco Gregori, Vanessa Landi, Marco Morello And Aiko Rolando. In support of these athletes there were also Clare Rebagliati (Individual, Team, and Mixed Gold Medal Winner at the 2022 YANKTON Field Archery World Championships) and Mauro Nespoli (team gold medal at London 2012 Olympics and individual gold medal at Tokyo 2020)

Six athletes from Astarcus of Asti positioned themselves on the shooting line: Gaia Bogliacini, Riccardo Dal Colle, Samuel Bertoletti, Pietro Roagna, Fabrizio Arossa And Massimo Moscatiello.

The latter faced a difficult challenge in the Senior Men’s Olympic Arco division, having to bow to the superiority of the top three national athletes (Morello, Galiazzo, Gregori). and finished in seventh place with 529 points.

Fabrizio Arossa also obtained seventh place in the Arco Olimpico Master Men division with 557 points. In the Boys’ Olympic Bow division, Samuel Bertoletti finished in seventh place with 496 points.

In the Arco Olimpico division, Junior Men’s category, Riccardo Dal Colle took fifth place with 469 points. Better results have been achieved for the young athletes of the Bare Arch. Gaia Bogliacini won the gold medal in the Very Young Girls category with 590 points.

Pietro Roagna, in his first absolute competition, obtained the gold medal in the Bare Arch Junior Boys category with 507 points.

All in all a great day of sun and sport, with archery enthusiasts.
