Strike at the airports in Bologna and Naples: timetables and flights cancelled

Day of unrest at the airports of Bologna and Naples. Two strikes in the airline sector have been called for today, Saturday 15 June, in the two Italian airports which could cause inconvenience for travellers, with flight delays and cancellations. However, during the protests, there will still be guarantee time slots in which all flights must necessarily be insured: from 7am to 10am and from 6pm to 9pm.

The strike in Bologna

At Guglielmo Marconi in Bologna, in particular, the employees of Aviapartner, a company that offers handling services, will be crossing their arms. For 4 hours, from 1pm to 5pm, passenger assistance and therefore also the baggage handling service within the airport could be at risk. The other strikes

In addition to Bologna, the unrest will also affect Naples Capodichino airport, where the people of Enav (National Civil Aviation Authority) which manages Italian air traffic will be on strike. A 4-hour strike is also planned in the Campania airport, from 1pm to 5pm. Protests will also be held at the Marco Polo airport in Venice Tessera, where the interruption of services will last 4 hours, from 1pm to 5pm. It will fold its arms for 14 hours, also AirDolomiti staff which could cause delays or cancellations of flights.

Flights guaranteed

In addition to the guarantee bands, all state, military, emergency, medical, humanitarian and rescue flights must be insured, as well as those connecting with the Italian islands (which have a single daily frequency). The arrival at their destination of all domestic flights in progress at the time the strike began will also be guaranteed. The departure of all flights scheduled at times prior to the start of the agitation and delayed for reasons beyond the control of the parties is also ensured. All incoming intercontinental connections, including transits through domestic ports, will be confirmed, as well as overflights of the national territory and crossings of the airspace of Italian responsibility.
