Lamezia Terme – After the victory at “Amici” by Maria De Filippi and the live performance at the Guido d’Ippolito Stadium two years ago, Louis Strangis returns to his Lamezia Terme Saturday 25 May at the Grandinetti Municipal Theatre. Only three live shows in Italy for this spring 2024 tour: Rome on May 20th, Milan on May 22nd and, indeed, Lamezia on May 25th. The concert will begin at 9.30pm, entry into the theater is expected from 8pm. Strangis, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, an authentic young talent of Italian music, will be accompanied by his musicians: Luca Monaldi (drums and percussion) e Nicolò Pagani (bass and double bass). The event is part of the rich program of “Music Facts 2024”, the 38th edition of the Live d’Autore Festival directed by Ruggero Pegna. Luigi Strangis, winner of the 21st edition of the talent show, is an eclectic artist, multifaceted singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who made himself known to the general public with his first EP Strangis, certified “Gold”, which contains the songs presented during the Canale program 5, including the single Hold me tonightalso certified “Gold”.
In September 2022 he released the single You’re Good About Everything which anticipated the album of unreleased songs “I want the skirt”, published the following month. In the same month the live-action film was released in cinemas The Talented Mr. Crocodile. In the film, produced by Sony Pictures and distributed by Warner Bros Entertainment Italia, Luigi interprets the Italian songs of the crocodile Lyle, which in the original version are sung by the Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes. On March 31, 2023 he released the single Adam and Evethen on May 5th Blue Tulips, recorded with Matteo Romano. In November 2023 he returned with the song Stupid freedom, a song with acoustic atmospheres and deeply reflective lyrics with which it tells of solitudes and silences, of dark rooms in which to take refuge, but which then make you take your breath away. A song that perfectly captures the youthful state of mind: if “fake and ostentatious happiness or superficiality” is displayed on social media, in real life they are often nothing more than shields to hide apathy, fears and deeper emotions. Luigi, as everyone calls him, is awaited at the Grandinetti by the enthusiasm of the many Lamezia fans, but also of those who will fill the Theater arriving in Lamezia from all over Italy.
