The news came just a few minutes ago that today (5 May) the Royal Palace of Caserta almost reached 15 thousand visitors, placing itself on the podium of the museums most visited on the Italian peninsula. These numbers were confirmed by Mic. In fact, to be precise, 14,953 visitors chose to go to the Vanvitellian complex today, taking advantage of the free entrances to the museums arranged by the ministry for the initiative called “Sunday at the Museum”.

“This first Sunday of May, after the opening on April 25th, also confirms that visitors increasingly appreciate the opportunity to enjoy the beauty and richness of our artistic and archaeological treasures for free. The success of this initiative demonstrates once again once culture is a fundamental resource for Italy and the numbers from the beginning of May confirm the importance of promoting and enhancing the distinctive places of our identity geography. Museums and all our places of culture remind us where we come from and who we are and they are an extraordinary opportunity for representation and development of the Nation”. This was stated by the Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano, commenting on the first provisional data of the appointment with the Domenicalmuseo in May, the initiative of the Ministry of Culture which allows free entry, every first Sunday of the month, to museums and parks state archaeologists.
