Livorno – The 2024 edition of the Palio marinaro, the 86th in the history of the Palio di Livorno, was won on Borgo Cappuccinisecond Venezia, third Ardenza. Venezia’s victory in the Risiatori left no residue in the Borgo crew who, after having won the Barontini, also prevailed in the most important race of the Trittico. In any case, the performance of the Venezia. Ardenza also did very well, reaching the podium for the third consecutive year.

The Palio race was hard fought. All the weapons arrived within forty seconds. Despite the coincidence with Italy’s match at the European Championships (a match which Switzerland won, resulting in the elimination of the Azzurri, ed.), the turnout of the public was good.

To demonstrate the important moment that the Borgo Cappuccini winery is experiencing, it should be highlighted that the Borgo also excelled in the women’s competitions. Venezia, however, returned to win the Minipalio after five years.
