A bad Libertas gave way to a Liofilchem Roseto who – despite a terrible evening in 3-point shooting (3 out of 23, 13%) deserved the success. Abruzzesi always ahead in the score (except for the 21-20 for Libertas at the beginning of the second quarter). Amaranto crushed by pressure and never lucid in attack where the shooting percentages were very low (19 out of 56, just over 33%). He held the defense, but it wasn’t enough because the guest number 5, Klyuchnyck found the perfect evening: 29 points and 8 rebounds, an unsolved puzzle for the amaranth big men who also struggled to contain him.
Roseto always ahead, we were saying, but Libertas always in the wake also because Gramenzi’s boys missed the knockout blow. In the third and last quarter the Abruzzesi tried to escape (29-40, then 40-51), but LL came back within range (52-56) when it was too late. It will be played again on Sunday at 8.30pm. Roseto has match point. Libertas will have to try to stay in the series.
