CASERTA. The streets of Caserta are bloodied. Two deaths in a few hours in the province. It is the 40-year-old Patrizia Tommasino, who lost her life while she was on her bike a few meters from her home, hit by a truck. In Aversa instead the other tragedy occurred, where the one who lost his life was the very young Alfonso Lecce, just 19 years old. But let’s go in order and see what happened.
THE TRAGEDY OF CELLOLE. Shock in Cellole, where yesterday Patrizia Tommasino, a 40-year-old local, was hit by a truck while she was riding her bicycle. The drama, for reasons that are still being ascertained, occurred while the woman was busy walking along the roundabout in Via Napoli, when the impact occurred which left the unfortunate 40-year-old with no escape. The collision was fatal: despite the timely intervention of the rescuers, there was nothing that could be done for the woman. The Carabinieri of the Sessa Aurunca Company intervened at the scene of the tragedy and carried out the necessary investigations to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident and establish any responsibilities. The driver of the heavy vehicle stopped to provide assistance. The 118 doctors and firefighters were on site and freed the victim who was stuck under the wheels, but there was already nothing more that could be done for her.
THE TRAGEDY OF AVERSA. The other tragedy occurred last night, around 4:00, in via Salvo D’Acquisto in Aversa, and cost the life of a 19-year-old boy: his name was Alfonso Lecce. According to an initial reconstruction carried out by the military, the young man was traveling on his scooter when he hit some chains that marked the perimeter of a supermarket, losing control of the vehicle before violently hitting the asphalt. The impact was extremely violent and left him no escape. The 19-year-old died instantly. Attempts to help him by the 118 doctors, who arrived on the scene in an ambulance, were in vain.
VIDEO SURVEILLANCE IMAGES. The Carabinieri are analyzing the images from some video surveillance cameras in the area that may have filmed the accident, the intent is to exclude third-party liability and verify whether the 19-year-old was the victim of a fatal accident doing everything alone or whether he collided with another vehicle before losing control of the scooter. In the meantime, the Prosecutor’s Office of Naples North has ordered the seizure of the body, transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Giugliano for an autopsy. The scooter was also seized.
