PESCARA. “Mara transformed every moment of life into poetry”. This is how her dearest friends remember the poet Mara Secciafrom Pescara, a historic teacher of the Gescal schools, died yesterday morning at the hospital in Chieti where she had been hospitalized for some time due to the after-effects of a fall. She was 87 years old and had “a great enthusiasm for life”. She leaves behind her son Davide con Cynthiathe other daughter Valentinaand nephews Georgia e Alessandroson-in-law Bruno. Her funeral will take place tomorrow at 10.30 in the Basilica of the Seven Sorrows, in Colli, the neighborhood where she lived with her husband Paul DeLucain Strada Catani. The body will rest in the cemetery of San Silvestro.

Poems in the vernacular, but also in Italian, were his great passion. He dreamed of coming out with the latest book “Who made you”, a collection of reflections on the fast pace of life.
