Wednesday 3 July Feltrinelli Librerie inaugurates the new bookshop Feltrinelliin Taranto, at number 25 of Palm Street: the publishing group itself made the date official.

The opening is the seventh of the Group in Puglia after those of Bari, Brindisi, Casamassima, Lecce and Altamura and the first in the Ionian capital.

A new space dedicated to books and reading, from the most well-known and loved voices to the most surprising subcultures” the structure of is described over 270 square meters on two levels, with the possibility of hosting book presentations and various cultural initiatives for the city. Over 20 thousand titles in total, with an editorial proposal that says “careful to also valorize local publishers and the voices of the territory“.

The assortment includes 8 thousand fiction titles and over 5 thousand non-fiction titles, as well as literature in foreign languages, comics and manga.

On the occasion of the opening, Wednesday 3 July starting from 7pm, a special evening is planned. After the ribbon cutting, l’opening will see the participation of the writers Nicola Lagioia and Antonella Lattanzi which, moderated by the journalist Florinda Flamewill celebrate the figure of Alessandro Leogrande, offering a memory of him on stage. Accompanying their conversation, the voice of the singer-songwriter from Taranto Erica Mou.
