The transfer market season reopens

Rimini, 1st July 2024. The wait is over: the Calciomercato season officially reopens. For the fifth consecutive year, Rimini hosted the Gran Galà di Apertura del Calciomercato 2024/25, organized by Master Group Sport and ADiSe, in collaboration with the Emilia-Romagna Region.

The event, sponsored by Lega Serie A, Lega Serie B and Lega Pro, once again sees the Emilia-Romagna Region as the protagonist for an exclusive event with a strong appeal and which is part of the program of sporting events, supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region, for the enhancement of the territory and tourist attractiveness.

In the prestigious location of the Grand Hotel Rimini, the special edition of “Colpi da Maestro”, the talk show hosted by Sarah Castellana and Marco Bucciantini, journalists of Sky Sport who, thanks to the intervention of many illustrious guests, including Giuseppe Marotta and Pantaleo Corvino, analyzed the figure of the Sports Director, today increasingly at the center of the football system, between anecdotes and curiosities.

During the evening, the best Sports Directors of the season just ended were awarded, who were awarded the official Colpi da Maestro Award, an award created by Master Group Sport and dedicated to the great masters of football and the transfer market. This year, it was given to Sports Directors who have achieved important and historic results: Piero Ausilio, Sports Director FC Internazionale Milano, Tony D’Amico, Sports Director Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio, Giovanni Sartori, Sports Director Bologna FC, Mauro Pederzoli, Sports Director Parma Calcio 1913 and Fabio Artico, Sports Director Cesena FC.

At the end of the talk show, the greeting of the President of the Emilia-Romagna Region Stefano Bonaccini:

“This year too, the Calciomercato opens in Rimini, in the magnificent setting of the Grand Hotel. An event eagerly awaited by many fans that we are proud to host in the heart of the Emilia-Romagna Riviera. But this year the pride is double. We all have before our eyes the extraordinary images of the Grande Partenza of the Tour de France, which after the Florence-Rimini and Cesenatico-Bologna stages today closes its Italian adventure with Piacenza-Turin. Football and cycling, two popular sports par excellence, which give us great emotions, followed and practiced by so many people. And Emilia-Romagna which once again confirms itself as authentic, the unique Sport Valley, a region that believes in sport, supports it, promotes it, in all its forms. From grassroots to major events, an extraordinary vehicle for promoting the territory”.

Next appointment in Milan on August 28, 29 and 30 for the official closing of the summer session of the 2024-2025 transfer market.
