Castellammare, Casillo and Vicinanza: ‘Arpac data still positive: clean sea in the municipal villa’

“The sea in front of the Villa Comunale of Castellammare di Stabia is suitable for bathing. The confirmation comes from the latest measurements carried out last Monday by Arpac which once again attest to the quality of the water. A historic result, the result of the synergistic work between the Campania Region, Eic and Gori carried forward in recent years” – announces Mario Casillo, leader of the PD group in the regional council.

“Finally we can give the sea back to the people of Stabia. The ability to swim in the sea represents not only a significant achievement for the residents, but also an opportunity for the tourism relaunch of this area, which can now boast a clean sea accessible to all. But our work does not stop here: the objective for 2025 is the depollution of the Sarno River and the full recovery of bathing along the entire coast, from San Giovanni to Teduccio to Massa Lubrense, which remains our priority” – continues the Dem representative.

“As regards the Castellammare di Stabia beach, as agreed with the mayor Luigi Vicinanza, the next step will be the services conference, scheduled for the month of July in the Campania Region. It will be a crucial meeting to plan interventions aimed at enhancing and secure the coast, making it even more welcoming and usable” – concludes Casillo.

Satisfaction also for Luigi Vicinanza, mayor of Castellammare. “The latest data on water quality, released by Arpac, once again confirms the positive trend: the stretch of coast in front of the Villa Comunale of Castellammare di Stabia is suitable for bathing and therefore in the next few weeks we could be in a position to lift the bathing ban which has been going on for too many years now and finally return the sea to the people of Stabia”.

“The analyzes carried out on Monday 24 June confirmed once again that the parameters are perfectly in line. An encouraging result which allows us to look to the next appointment in the Campania Region with moderate optimism. The services conference, scheduled for mid-July , will allow us to have a complete picture also regarding the beach. At the same time, we have already started discussions with the local health authority for possible interventions to be carried out” – concludes the mayor.
