25-year-old Gambian recidivist in drug dealing expelled from Terni

A 25-year-old Gambian, who arrived in Italy eight years ago, was expelled from authority Italians after years of illicit activities and attempts to stay illegally. She lived with her brother, who was well integrated in Terni, but despite this he had never abandoned drug trafficking.

The 25-year-old has accumulated a number of complaints and sentences for drug dealing, threats to a official of the financial police, violation of the residence ban, evasion, resistance to a public official and other violations of the law, committed in various parts of central Italy. Despite attempts to use the reiterated procedure, which allows present repeatedly requesting international protection, the police decided to proceed with his expulsion.

The young man was accompanied to the detention and repatriation center in Ponte Galeria waiting to be repatriated to Gambia. Investigators deemed him socially dangerous and unfit to remain on Italian territory.

The third section of the office immigration of the Terni police station has constantly monitored his situation, preventing him from continuing his illegal stay. Although he was already the recipient of a previous order to remove him from national territory, the Gambian had never complied with this provision.

On to his last one request to renew the residence permit, the response was a refusal and immediate expulsion with forced accompaniment.

Despite not being considered a high caliber criminal, his behavior repetitive drug dealing and the continuous violation of Italian laws have led the authorities to intervene decisively. The young man had repeatedly ignored the ban on returning to Terni, continuing to deal drugs as if nothing had happened.

To avoid deportation, he had also tried to obtain a permit to stay for humanitarian reasons, but had never shown up for the scheduled appointments, claiming problems health or train delays.
