UDINE – In the heart of the week, specifically in the afternoon of Wednesday 19 June and Thursday 20 June, the State Police of Udine implemented two decisive interventions which led to the arrest of a 28-year-old Italian man and a 34-year-old Albanian years. Both were already subjected to precautionary measures prohibiting them from approaching their former companions, measures which unfortunately did not prevent the continuation of their oppressive conduct.

Continued violation of precautionary measures

Despite the initial warning from the Police Commissioner of Udine, aimed at offering immediate protection to the victims, the two men ignored the warnings, continuing with their persecutory actions. This necessitated the application of more severe measures, including a ban on frequenting the victims’ usual places and, in one case, the use of an electronic bracelet.

Violation leads to arrest

The situation culminated when both men violated the restrictions imposed, prompting the victims to call for help. The rapid response of the Flying and Mobile Teams of the Udine Police Headquarters prevented further consequences, freeing the women from the imminent threat. The stalkers were arrested and taken to the police station for the ritual procedures.

Legal consequences and aggravated measures

The measures taken include mandatory arrest for the perpetrator of the violation of protective measures. The Albanian citizen was also charged with the crimes of resisting a public official and aggravated damage, having damaged the monitoring device. Both were transferred to the local prison.

Preventive measures and invitation to report

The judge, during the validation phase of the arrest, imposed a ban on the Italian from staying in the center of Udine and the obligation to stay at home at night. Given the seriousness of his behavior during the arrest, the Albanian was placed in prison. The State Police reiterates the importance of reporting in cases of physical and psychological violence, promoting the use of the emergency number NUE 112.
