Preparations are underway for the 3×3 basketball tournament, which will take place at the “Bruno Petrachi” park in Lecce on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June from 4pm to 10pm. The “Lecce 3×3” tournament will be part of the “Estathè” circuit 3×3 Italia Fip Circuit 2024”, assigning points for the national ranking of the 3×3 teams. The winning team, in addition to the prizes offered by the tournament partners, will have direct access to the Roseto finals of the LB3 circuit.

The organization of the tournament is the result of the collaboration of three enthusiasts, Antonio Savastano, Andrea Ingrosso and Alessandro Gismondi, who found a precious ally in Asd New Basket Carmiano. The 3×3 discipline, practiced with three players per team on a half basketball court with a single basket, is a faster and more dynamic game than traditional basketball. Being a new Olympic discipline, 3×3 is played during multi-day events, where the sport merges with other types of entertainment activities such as music, dance, art and shows.

3×3 has a strong social value as the sports promotion often takes place on public playgrounds open to all, in areas where young people gather. The first 3×3 basketball tournament in Lecce represents an important initiative of cultural and social relevance, which aims to promote values of integration, healthy competition and involvement of the local community.

The initiative will be further enriched with the participation of local dance schools, which will offer shows and performances that will integrate the sporting atmosphere with the liveliness of local culture. This combination of sport and art represents a unique opportunity to celebrate cultural diversity and encourage the meeting of people with different interests.

Don’t miss the chance to participate in this extraordinary event, where basketball, music and dance come together to create an unforgettable experience at the “Bruno Petrachi” park in Lecce.
