Last Thursday afternoon, an extraordinary meeting open to the participation of citizens was held at the city council of Agrigento to discuss the dramatic water emergency that is afflicting the city. The meeting saw the participation of numerous important institutions, including the leaders of AICA, the mayor, the competent regional councilor, several regional deputies, some mayors of the province, councilors and city councilors.
The citizens present once again expressed their frustration and concern, underlining that the time has come for concrete actions. “The time for chatter is over”, they forcefully declared, highlighting the urgent need for immediate solutions to address the water crisis which is putting the daily lives of thousands of families in Agrigento to the test.
During the meeting, concrete proposals and requests for timely interventions emerged to ensure an adequate and sustainable water supply for the entire community. The representatives of the institutions present committed to working without delay to find effective and long-term solutions to this emergency, reassuring citizens that their voices are heard and that every effort will be made to address the situation with the utmost urgency.
The city of Agrigento now eagerly awaits the results of today’s deliberations, confident that this meeting will mark a turning point in the management of the water emergency and in solving the daily difficulties that its inhabitants are facing.
