Gallipoli is the eleventh most searched city in Italy

Holidays have already arrived for thousands of Italians and this year it seems that there is more desire than ever to leave; in fact, the hotel and flight search engine www.jetcost.it found that accommodation bookings increased 10% for the month of July 2024 compared to last year, which was already a record. In terms of preferences, it seems that Italians continue to crave sun and beach, with these destinations standing out in their searches (74%) compared to domestic destinations (26%). Five locations in Puglia were among the 40 most sought-after, with Gallipoli standing out for occupying eleventh place.

Jetcost.it regularly analyzes the searches carried out through its website, in order to obtain very reliable data as these are real searches and not surveys. The data analyzing the results of accommodation searches between 1 and 31 July 2024 indicate that, in addition to Gallipoli, among the most sought after by national tourists there are also Vieste (17), Polignano a Mare (29), Porto Cesareo (30) and Bari (32).
