SAN BENEDETTO – Delays of more than three hours and cancellations for trains heading north. Another day of passion today Sunday for the tourists who have crowded the San Benedetto station since the morning due to a fault near Lecce which prevented the transit of the Intercity and Freccia Rossa convoys coming from the south and mainly headed towards Ancona, Bologna and above all Milan. There were many trains that did not leave and for which those who had booked queued up at the ticket office in the city of palm trees and asked for guidance on how to behave in order to reach their destination on time.
At 3.50 pm traffic returned to normal in Fossacesia while it remained significantly slowed down due to technical checks on the line between Francavilla al Mare and San Vito Lanciano, and we proceeded on a single track.
