The grip of the African heat will continue to be felt in Puglia until Sunday. Then the effects of the change in circulation will begin to appear with a gradual decrease in temperatures and the end of the heat wave. This atmospheric change will help clear the skies of heat and desert dust.
Today is another day characterized by high temperatures, with peaks of 34-35°C in Foggia and Brindisi, 36°C in Lecce and 30-31°C in Bari. Some peaks up to 38°C cannot be ruled out on the internal brindino. The sun will be predominant, accompanied by weak winds coming from the northern quadrants with reinforcements.
In the afternoon, cloud accumulations may develop over the Murge but without noteworthy effects.
On Sunday the weather conditions will be stable and sunny, with a gradual drop in temperatures. Maximum temperatures will not exceed 33-34°C in Foggia, 30-32°C in Lecce and 28-30°C in Bari and Brindisi.
The winds will be moderate from north-northwest, and the seas, recently moved, will be rough at times.
Monday is expected to be a stable day with the passage of scattered clouds. The heat will be easing and temperatures will generally be between 28 and 33°C.
On Tuesday, infiltrations of relatively cooler air at altitude will bring greater variability with the return of some local precipitation.
This will bring an end to the heat wave.
