From today to Sunday they will be played in Torre Faro MESSINA (ITALPRESS) – The first stage of the regional Serie B beach soccer championship, called Sabbie di Sicilia, starts today in Messina. Initiative strongly supported by president Sandro Morgana and fully shared by the association I Soci of patron Fabio Nicosia. From today to Sunday the game will be played in Torre Faro. The three days in Messina will be the tasty preview of the Italian Cup final which will liven up next weekend in Messina. A highly anticipated event because it will bring together the best Italian beach soccer teams and the best players in the world on the Peloritana sand. The formula has been defined for some time, as per the announcement published by the Lnd, with a championship that includes three Open tournaments (Messina Capo Faro, 21-23 June; San Vito Lo Capo, 12-14 July; Marina di Modica 26-28 July) .
The final master will be held in Marina di Ragusa, from 9 to 11 August 2024. The first 8 male and 4 female teams registered in each tournament will participate. The first team in Sicily will participate in the Genoa stage for promotion to Serie A Poule Promozione. Eight teams are competing in the men’s competition, many local, confirming the great expectations of president Sandro Morgana and Fabio Nicosia. We start this afternoon with the match between Catania BS – Asd Pgs Luce Messina (6pm): the Catania team will take to the field with the Under 20 team which will have the chance to live an important training experience (6pm) . Followed, in order, Villafranca beach soccer-Virtus Messina (6.45pm). In the penultimate match they will play Siac-Riviera Nord. The grand finale of the quarter-finals will see Ronin-Fair Play on the field. The winning teams will gain access to the semi-final. On Sunday 23rd, at 9.15pm, the finalists who will compete for the stage victory will compete. The women’s matches will be played on Saturday and Sunday. The first will see Virtus Femminile Marsala on the pitch against Unime.
