Judo Piacenza presents at the international stage in Riccione

From 11 to 16 June the Playhall of Riccione hosted the International Judo Training Camp. The Green Camp is an international stage with 1,400 athletes (and around 300 coaches), authorized by Fijlkam (Italian Federation of Judo, Fighting, Karate, Martial Arts). In this context, Judo Piacenza was represented by Alex D’Aguanno, Loris D’Aguanno, Mia Mandas, Flaminia Guarnieri, Nicolò Abategiovanni, Francesca Trongone, Asia Sassi and Thomas Sassi. The latter is carrying out technical preparation in view of the European Judo Championships which he will compete with the national youth team.

Also present in Riccione was the man who is considered the strongest judoka of all time: Shohei Ono. The Japanese national team, triple world champion (2013, 2015 and 2019) and double Olympic champion (2016, 2021), held lessons for the many athletes present and arriving from all over the world.

Also present were Sugoi Uriarte, world silver medalist, European champion and coach of the Spanish national team, and Jenny Gal, Dutch naturalized Italian, Olympic bronze medalist, world silver medalist and European gold medalist. The Fijlkam president for Judo was also present at the event: Giuseppe Matera.
