The result is one person arrested and a second reported to the prefect. The activity of the police forces to monitor the area will continue without stopping also in the coming weeks as this site is often attractive to vagrants to camp out.

What happened

This morning the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile section of the Padua Company proceeded to check the abandoned area where the presence of some people was reported. Following the inspection, the military surprised two young foreigners inside an abandoned warehouse: a twenty-year-old Egyptian, an irregular, already known to the police, was arrested in flagrante delicto for possession for the purpose of dealing because he was searched personally and found in possession of a block of hashish weighing 30.22 grams. The drug was seized. An 18-year-old Tunisian, also an irregular, already known to the police, was reported to the prefect of Padua as a user, because he was searched personally and found in possession of 1.44 grams of hashish. The drug was also seized at the same time.
