The initiative which will take place from 16th to 30th June coming years, it will be presented to the press Thursday 13 Juneat 10:00, in the council room of the Palace of the Metropolitan City of Bari (via Spalato, 19) in the presence of the metropolitan deputy mayor Michele Laporta, the president of CONI Puglia Angelo Giliberto and the Director of the Planning Service of the School Network for the Promotion and Coordination of Youth Policies, Luigia Carbonara.
The mayors of the metropolitan municipalities that have joined the initiative will also speak (Acquaviva delle Fonti, Adelfia, Alberobello, Altamura, Bitetto, Bitonto, Capurso, Casamassima, Cassano delle Murge, Cellamare, Conversano, Giovinazzo, Gravina in Puglia, Modugno, Mola di Bari, Molfetta, Monopoli, Noci, Palo Del Colle, Ruvo di Puglia, Rutigliano, Sannicandro di Bari, Terlizzi, Triggiano, Turi and Valenzano), the presidents of the participating sports associations and the federal presidents of the sports disciplines. The 3rd Edition of the “Metropolitan Olympics” confirms the desire to promote and enhance sport as an opportunity for social inclusion, aggregation, belonging to the territory and activities that generate benefits for psychophysical health. The event will take place across the metropolitan area in the sports facilities made available to the municipalities that have joined the initiative.
