Bad weather, the regional Civil Protection has confirmed the yellow code for even strong thunderstorms throughout Tuscany with the exception of the southern reaches of the province of Livorno and the islands, large areas of the province of Grosseto and the areas of the province of Siena adjacent to the Grosseto area, for all day today, Monday 24th, while for tomorrow, Tuesday 25th, the areas not affected by the yellow code are limited to the southern reaches of the province of Livorno, the islands and the coastal strip of the province of Grosseto. Conditions until tomorrow will be markedly unstable with frequent showers and thunderstorms.
Rain. In the afternoon and until the early hours of the evening today, scattered precipitation including showers and thunderstorms. The phenomena will be more probable and frequent in the central-northern areas. Significant average cumulative expected on the central-northern provinces (up to 30 mm average on the Apennine slopes facing east), not significant on the southern ones. Punctual maximums up to locally high in the central-northern areas (up to 60-70 mm not excluded in the Apennine sectors) with strong hourly intensities. Elsewhere maximum not high (up to 20-40 mm on areas E3, O3, F2, F1, O2 and I). Tomorrow, Tuesday, increasing instability during the morning with the possibility of scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally strong, more likely in inland areas. Average cumulates around significant (10-15 mm) on the central-northern internal areas and in the Apennines, not significant elsewhere (5-10 mm) and up to 10-15 mm on the reliefs (Amiata). Punctual maximums up to high (50-60 mm), reachable even in an hour.
Temporal. Until the early hours of this evening, scattered thunderstorms, locally strong in the central-northern provinces. Tomorrow afternoon, Tuesday, there is the possibility of scattered thunderstorms, even strong, in inland areas.
