The Latina Flying Squad, in collaboration with the Territorial Labor Inspectorate and the ASL – S.Pre.SAL Service of Latina and with the use of patrols from the Lazio crime prevention department, yesterday carried out specific control activities at a Pontine fruit and vegetable company, aimed at ascertaining the existence of irregularities and labor exploitation of the personnel employed, which allowed the existence of numerous violations to be ascertained, both in terms of compliance with workplace safety requirements – ascertained by the ASL of Latina, for which the employer was reported to the judicial authority, pursuant to specific legislation -, as well as in terms of “black work” – for the employment of individuals without a regular contract.

Within the company, in Borgo Bainsizza, they have also been identified ten workers of various nationalities, Indian, Pakistani and Ivorian, some of whom were found to be without a residence permit, whose presence triggered the reporting of the owner to the judicial authorities for having employed illegal foreigners on the national territory.

The violations relating to illegal work ascertained by the Labor Inspectorate have also led to the suspension of the business activity, ordered starting from next 1st July, with a concurrent administrative fine of 2,500 euros.
