Milan’s second team will participate in Serie C and will be called Milan Futuro

Milan announced yesterday that it had formally received, following the decisions taken by the FIGC Federal Council, a positive response to the application for registration in the Serie C Now of the second team, which will take the name of “MILAN FUTURE“.

The acceptance of the registration application has therefore defined the complete roster of the 60 teams that will participate in the championship managed by Lega Pro in the 2024/25 season.

The project

The Milan Futuro sports project, the last step in a journey that involved all the youth teams up to the “big ones”.

The idea was born with the main objective of valorising the talent of the young people who grew up in the Rossoneri club, who have already distinguished themselves in recent seasons in the category championships, in the Youth League and with their respective youth national teams to complete their physical-athletic maturation process.

Furthermore, it will allow players to compete with professional football within their own club.

Bonera on the bench

Futuro will be coaching Milan Daniel Bonerawho made 201 appearances as a footballer in 9 seasons with the Milanese club.

In 2019 he began his adventure as a technical collaborator, always at Milan.

In 2020, he obtained the UEFA PRO qualification after attending the Coverciano course.

The new C Series Now

In the morning the draw for the 2024-2025 Serie C groups is being celebrated, the three second teams present (Juventus Next Gen, Milan Futuro and Atalanta U23) will be in different groups.
