Bologna – The National Paralympic Shooting National Team continues its march towards the Paris 2024 Games. After the European Championships in Granada, which gave the group led by coach Giuseppe Ugherani 5 medals, the Italian men and women, in fact, will meet again from 21 to 24 June at the TSN in Bologna for a technical preparation meeting focused on consolidating and improving performance.

“In Bologna – explains coach Ugherani – we will work with Gianluca Iacus, Livia Cecagallina, Andrea Liverani, Pamela Novaglio and Roberto Lazzaro: the 5 athletes who will be at the Paris 2024 Games. In addition to them we will also add Tommaso Starec and Alessandro Camarra to the group, two profiles on which we are aiming for the future, trying to plan the four-year period that will take us towards the Los Angeles 2028 event. Davide Franceschetti will not be with us, because he is recovering from a slight injury suffered during the European Championships in Granada”.

“On Saturday and Sunday – continues Ugherani – all those called up will compete in some federal competitions which will help us technicians to understand where we are in the approach table to the event. It is likely that it will be hot and this could affect performance, but we have to get used to it because in Châteauroux we expect high temperatures and high humidity.”

“The TSN in Bologna will be our home in these months. After this appointment, we will return again from 27 July to 2 August for another training programme. This time we will do it in an even more competitive way, because we will have the national teams of Hungary, Great Britain and Poland: a Paralympic quadrangular in which to compete before Paris”.
