From C to B after 76 years of abstinence, the Carrarese fairy tale is on everyone’s lips. After the promotion celebrations thanks to the 1-0 against Vicenza at the Stadio dei Marmi in the return match of the playoff final, Nicolas Schiavi wanted to talk about the emotions he felt with the Apuans this season in the interview he gave to his colleagues PianetaSerieB.
“If there was a moment when I understood that we were going to B? I was hoping to finish first in the league, but Cesena were incredible. Having understood the impossibility of making it to the top, we mentally settled on the playoffs, where from the first match I was convinced that we could do it. As we were discussing earlier, we were coming off an incredible 2024 – said the class of ’95 -, which gave us further awareness of our means. There wasn’t a single second in which I doubted all of this, but the opponent against whom we had the most difficulty was Juventus Next Gen, who have players of the highest quality, who in a few years will certainly not be in Serie C. We were able to suffer, after that double challenge I was even more convinced than before.”
On the level jump which hides the classification: “I have tasted Serie B, but it is a category in which I have played little. In that Novara there were very good people. In recent years I have learned a lot – said the Argentine -, I have accumulated many matches in C and I’m happy to be able to return to the cadettry without a doubt more mature, I hope that next year will be my year.”
