LIVORNO – Big celebration Libertas basketball Livorno: in A2 after 33 years.
Great Libertas party basketball Livorno for promotion to Serie A2. Mayor Luca Salvetti receives the company Libertas Livorno 1947 chaired by Roberto Consigli with the team led by technician Marco Andreazza on Saturday 15 June in the ceremony room of the Town Hall.
And there is a city celebrating a 33-year promotion which took shape in Roseto degli Abruzzi by winning Game 5 of the Serie B playoffs 74-81.
Around 400 amaranth fans followed the team to support them from the stands of the PalaMaggetti in Roseto and many others crowded the hall of the Cinema Teatro 4 Mori where the live broadcast had been organised.
The exultation of the Amaranth club: “Ten months of hard work, dedication, suffering, sacrifice. But in the end joy came: irrepressibly deserved. Libertas conquered Roseto in game 5 of the play final and achieved promotion to Serie A2. Andreazza had asked for the perfect match on a mental level, Libertas responded to the coach’s requests. Libertas returns in Serie A after 33 years. The last LL before the merger, in 1990/91 was in A1 and achieved promotion to A2 43 years later from the one by Cacco Benvenuti, Fantozzi and Giroldi”.
