The “Delfi Medical Center” was inaugurated yesterday afternoon in the heart of Civitanova, a new structure specializing in diagnostics and physiotherapy designed especially for athletes. So much so that the volleyball champions Dragan Stankovic and Osmany Juantorena were also present at the ribbon cutting, who, despite playing elsewhere, remain linked to the “square” of Civitanova, having played for a long time in the Lube. In particular, Stankovic is one of the six partners who have invested resources in the “Delfi Medical Center”, whose board of directors is chaired by Alessandra Franchini. “The center has professionals and adequate medical and diagnostic equipment – explains Franchini herself – to provide high quality care, starting from an open MRI up to the ultrasound and the most modern instruments for physiotherapy and rehabilitation. We aim very much on sports medicine”. Alongside Alessandra Franchini (who, in addition to being the manager of the centre, is also a massage therapist) is the physiotherapist Luca Da Boit, who already boasts great experience in the sports sector and, in particular, volleyball. Regional councilor Pierpaolo Borroni, among others, also spoke at the inauguration of the structure, located in San Marone (formerly McDonald’s). “Why Delphi? We don’t claim to be compared to the center of the world, as the ancient Greeks considered Delphi – concludes Alessandra Franchini –, but we would like to become an important point of reference for those who do competitive activity and need adequate diagnoses and rehabilitation programmes”.
