The Pro Loco of the two seaside resorts of Grosseto, chaired by Loretta Teresini, presents this year in collaboration with the Municipality a detailed program that includes a total of 50 events that will take place until September 15th.
In addition to the support of the Administration there is an important contribution from many private sponsors. There are many important cultural events. It is official, after the rumors of the last few days, the arrival of GRande estate in Marina di Grosseto: after the success achieved in the capital, the well-established Grosseto event GRande estate moves to the coast and becomes GRande Estate in Marina di Grosseto. Four shows, which will always be hosted in the evocative scenic space of Forte San Rocco, with four great personalities of music and theater: Nada (Monday 19 August), Paolo Hendel (Wednesday 21 August), Ginevra Di Marco (Wednesday 28 August) and Sergio Sgrilli (Sunday 1 September).
Marina and Principina’s Summer 2024 Events program kicks off with the “Cartoon Night” on Saturday 29 June. The opening evening on Saturday 29th in Marina will in fact be cartoon-themed: from 9.15pm the street band Miwa and its members will enthrall the audience with the legendary cartoon theme tunes rearranged with ska, reggae and punk rhythms. A treasure hunt will be offered, always themed, in two categories: children with parents and teenagers. There will also be a superhero version of face painting and an educational workshop for children on the heroes of the past by Maam. “I am happy – comments Mayor Antonfrancesco Vivarelli Colonna – to present this Summer Events 2024 program. It will be a season characterized by a cultural offering of the highest level, thanks to the commitment of the Pro Loco and the collaboration between our Administration, associations and private sponsors. Our goal is to enhance the territory and offer citizens and tourists moments of quality leisure and entertainment. The wide variety of events proposed, ranging from concerts to children’s workshops, from theater festivals to fireworks displays, demonstrates our commitment to promoting a dynamic and engaging summer. This program will help strengthen the sense of community and make Marina and Principina even more attractive destinations”.
The Councilor for Culture, Luca Agresti, is also enthusiastic: “From the events featuring the Maam to the major events such as the Cromatica festival, the San Rocco and the Dune cycle: the effort in the cultural field is consistent. I am sure that it will be much appreciated by citizens and tourists, who reward the quality and variety of the event programme. Our municipal territory continues in the wake of a widespread culture, with many events and opportunities for meeting, training, growth and entertainment. I thank all the professionals who have worked and will work to make all this possible.”
Satisfied is the Councilor for Tourism, Riccardo Megale: “A great novelty will be the arrival of GRande Estate which, after the extraordinary success of Grosseto, will also double in Marina. There will be four evenings and new artists who will make this seaside edition unforgettable. We have managed to create an events calendar that not only enriches the tourist offer but also enhances our natural and cultural beauties. I invite everyone to participate and experience a summer of fun together”.
Environment Councilor Erika Vanelli comments as follows: “the environment is one of Grosseto’s most important assets and I believe it should be celebrated with small but significant initiatives: it is in this context that the Estate Clean project fits. I thank the economic operators of our beaches, many active and always available to collaborate with love and passion for the beauty of our coastline”.
The comment of Social Councilor Sara Minozzi was also extremely positive: “my department is often associated only with the world of disabilities, but in reality it encompasses much more: it is also entertainment for children, inclusive events, theater and activities. Consequently, we were pleased to participate in this initiative as well to try to bring everything that is social closer to festive and recreational activities”.
