A2A’s commitment to the people of Brescia: an investment of over 3 billion has been launched

Three billion and one hundred million investments between now and 2035; one billion and 800 million (57%) in Brescia and the rest in the provincial territory. Over a quarter of what (13 billion) the company will invest in the whole of Lombardy.

This is A2A’s commitment to the people of Brescia. Nine hundred million for the circular economy, one billion and 200 million for the energy transition, another billion for technological innovation, the new city headquarters in via Sostegno and the redevelopment of the other offices.

The industrial plan

This morning the CEO of A2A, Renato Mazzoncini, and the president Roberto Tasca presented the company’s 2024-2035 industrial plan to the city councilors of the Ecology and Budget Commissions of Brescia. The magnifying glass was placed on the part that concerns our territory. The Circular Economy chapter includes the waste treatmentThe water cycleThe district heating and the heat management. Investments will be made in the maintenance of materials treatment and recovery and energy production plants (including the waste-to-energy plant), in the development of biogas plants, in the renewal of aqueducts, sewerage systems and purifiers, and in new heat management projects.

There energy transition concerns electricity and gas networks, energy efficiency, maintenance of hydroelectric plants, development of renewables. Investments are expected for the water service 43 million for six purifiers in Calvisano, Pralboino, Bagolino, Vobarno, Visano and Mazzano-Ciliverghe for a total of 50 million cubic meters of water treated. We remind you that, on the national territory, A2A intends to invest 22 billion, “with a long-term perspective”, specified Renato Mazzoncini.

Capital increases

In front of the two Commissions, the CEO said that «the Industrial Plan does not require capital increases». A2A is counting on annual profit growth of 7%, from divide equally between dividends to shareholders (in 2023 it was 75 million each for the Municipalities of Brescia and Milan) and the strengthening of assets. A confirmation of what has already been stated in recent weeks regarding the intention to do not change the structure of public society, controlled by the two Municipalities. The majority and opposition city councilors applauded the company’s economic results and projects.
