PADUA – Bad weather hits Padua and its province again. As far as the city is concerned, yesterday evening, May 1st, from 9.30pm, problems were reported especially in the Montà area.
The fire brigade switchboard literally went haywire. About twenty interventions were carried out in the area of Via Montà and the surrounding arteries by firefighters to make streets, gardens and garages of homes safe. Some of the most difficult interventions were only completed this morning. No injuries or road accidents have been reported in the area, but the toll of damage to private homes is considerable. A definitive estimate can only be made at the end of the inspections by the firefighters who in fact worked all night to restore the emergency. In the most critical cases cellars and garages were invaded by quantities of around fifty centimeters of water.
