The Art&Fatti APS Association is pleased to announce its next cultural event, an extraordinary meeting dedicated to the life of Michelangelo Merisi, better known as Caravaggio. The conference, entitled “Caravaggio: the portal to reach God”, will be conducted by Professor and Art Critic Antonello Di Pinto, and will be held on 20 April 2024 at 7.00 pm at the suggestive Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie (Eternal Father), located in Via Trinitapoli in Cerignola.

The conference aims to offer a unique and engaging experience, revealing the background and most hidden parts of Caravaggio’s life and work. Prof. Antonello Di Pinto will guide participants on an emotional journey through the inner universe of the Baroque master, offering an in-depth vision of the secrets of his artistic genius. The event represents an extraordinary opportunity for art enthusiasts, scholars and the curious to deepen their understanding of one of the greatest painters in the history of art. The background to the discovery of the last work attributed to the master will also be revealed, adding elements of charm and mystery to the evening. The conference will be held within the magnificent setting of the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie (Eternal Father), an ancient building of worship dating back to the fourteenth century.

The event is sponsored by the Department of Culture and Sport of the Municipality of Cerignola, in collaboration with the Diocese of Cerignola Ascoli – Satriano and the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem.
