PALERMO – And the young 23 year old carabiniere Daniele Breganzeoriginally from Palermo, la victim of a road accident that occurred yesterday along the A20 Palermo-Messina motorway.
They remained in the accident the car in which the soldier was traveling alone and a truck were involved. The accident occurred early yesterday afternoon between Brolo and Rocca di Caprileonein the direction of the Sicilian capital.
The exact dynamics of the accident are currently being examined by the authorities who are investigating what happened. We know that the carabiniere’s vehicle collided with a lorry preceding him inside the Cipolla tunnel, shortly after the Brolo motorway junction, in a stretch where work is underway and the roadway is narrow. Unfortunately, for the young man, the impact was fatal.
The driver of the truck was unharmed but in a state of shock understandable and it was transferred to the Sant’Agata Militello hospital for investigations.
The traffic police of the Sant’Agata detachment, the firefighters, the ambulances of the 118 service, the motorway and CAS emergency response vehicles, as well as a patrol of the Carabinieri of Patti intervened at the scene of the accident.
